It is not hard to guess why Serrano is called that way: within a square kilometre, you have at the hold of your fingertips all the biggest fashion, decoration and jewellery firms. Besides gold and silver, that mile has many other gemstones that will dazzle you\u00a0behind the display windows.<\/p>\n<p>This neighbourhood is enhanced with glitter and glamour at every single step. It is the most exclusive shopping area in the city, due to the high concentration of luxury firms it holds.<\/p>\n<p>A great fashion catwalk. So are the streets of Serrano, Jose Ortega, Gasset and Claudio Coello. From fashion to books and music store chains, a complete offer for different tastes and interests is concentrated in this busy area.<\/p>\n<p>If something defines the commercial area of Preciados is the incessant coming and going of people through its streets. Here you can find &#8216;retro style&#8217; shops that sell all kinds of items from the past decades. Malasa\u00f1a was the epicentre of the famous counter-cultural movement of the 80&#8217;s, so-called &#8220;Movida Madrile\u00f1a&#8221;\u00a0explosion.
